Richard J. Morrisroe, Esq.

Richard Jonathan Morrisroe has practiced law in New York State for nearly 7 years. Richard is a general practice attorney but specializes in real estate, landlord/tenant law, criminal defense and civil litigation, including divorce and family law cases. Originally from East Chicago, Indiana, he is of Irish-Puerto Rican heritage, speaks fluent Spanish, and has lived in Buffalo for over 21 years. Because he is also the part-time City Attorney for the City of Dunkirk, Richard relocated his family to Dunkirk in 2018, where he lives with his wife and two sons. Prior to practicing law, Richard was a banker, a Spanish teacher, an executive director of a housing nonprofit agency, a Realtor, a drug prevention specialist and a legislative aide for the Buffalo Common Council. He graduated cum laude from Amherst College and the University at Buffalo Law School.
